Eureka!
I got some rather bothersome news regarding my wedding dress this past week. Irene had to send off to the states for the steel boning needed to make my dress, and when it finally got here, it turns out they sent her the wrong sized tips for the boning, so she won't be able to use it for my dress, and she'll have to use the plastic boning instead! Fortunately they will send her the right ones and not charge her for it, but it won't get here in time for her to use it for my dress. I'm sure it will all work out fine, but it is frustrating, especially for Irene. Read more »

How am I finding Cape Town?
One of the questions I've heard most since arriving here is "So how are you finding South Africa/ Cape Town?" Weeeeeelllll...I looked it up on Google Earth once, seen it on maps and the globe of course, then a plane flew me here, so I just sat there and let the pilot find it, and since I can't drive, I just let Raoul find it now. Despite the fact that I've yet to find CT on my own except on a map, I'm loving it. (For you American readers, "how are you finding..." is another way of asking "how do you like..")Read more »
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Lazy Blogger
Well, as everyone can tell by now, unlike Raoul, I'm a lazy blogger. I've just never been the type to regularly post things. It's not for lack of time or any valid reason either. Mostly I think I just don't have a whole lot to write about. Ah well...perhaps I'll learn in time.
Packing has been going very well! I have one suitcase completely packed, and one suitcase about halfway done. If it weren't for the fact I still need clothes the next few days it would probably be done as well, hehe. Read more »
Rings and things
I will arrive in Cape Town 4 weeks exactly from tomorrow! Yes, I'm VERY excited! Yesterday I sorted through all my books and got rid of the ones I'm not bringing- A LOT!- but I'm also keeping quite a few as well. I'll bring over as many as I can, and then Mom will bring the rest when the family comes for the wedding. I simply can't be without my books. There are times when Raoul won't be home, and I will need my books, hehe.Read more »
Fly, be free!
Well, I had my last trip to the dentist on Thursday- yay! No more dentist for at least a year hopefully!
In other news, there are only 39 days left until I'm in SA! (Which means that I'm about to get very motivated when it comes to packing.) I'm still rather lost about the whole thing, but I've got to start somewhere. Read more »

A once gloriously equipped laptop...
DOOMED!!! Yes, ladies and gentleman, a once gloriously equipped laptop has fallen prey to a most insidious enemy- WINDOWS! (audience boos)
Unsuspecting owner, Hannah Rains, innocently began installing the software for her new camera, when suddenly- DUN DUN DUN!- catastrophe struck! It began with an error message, in the middle of the installation process, and then the real trouble began. Without her approval or consent, WINDOWS (boooooooo!!) restarted. Again. And again. And again. Read more »
