Roar Your Boat

Zak just sat down next to me with his "Row, row, row your boat" book, and flipped to the last page (with the lion), and sang "Wo wo wo bo....AAAAAAGGH (his roar)"

Pregnant again!

That's right! For anyone who hasn't heard via facebook, I'm expecting again! I'm due May 12, 2011, and I'm currently nine weeks pregnant (as of today!).Read more »

Long time no see!

It's been a long time since I've blogged, and an even longer time since you've seen a video of Zak. I'm setting both of those things to rights in this post.

Zak will be 11 months old tomorrow. ELEVEN months! It's hard to believe he's almost a year old. I can't believe how big he's grown, and how much he's changed. I remember back when he was a newborn looking at 3-6 month size clothes and thinking they looked enormous. Now he's growing out of some of his 6-12 month size things.Read more »

Wrapstar Carrier!

The Wrapstar is AWESOME. My first Mei Tai, and I got two successful back carries today! (Plus 3 front carries!)

On a side note, I HATE customs. We had to pay the equivalent of $50 just to pick it up from the post office...I could have bought another carrier for that amount- yikes!Read more »

It's time for another brag post!

It is CRAZY how active this little guy is! He's definitely advanced on his motor milestones- get a load of this!

I have news! Me! Me! Me! Pick me!

I have two new websites! Yep, that's right, ME, not hubby!

I made a New Years resolution to take [at least] two pictures per day- one of Zak, and one of "something else", as Raoul put it. So now I'm the proud owner of two photoblogs (thanks honey)!Read more »

Shameless Bragging

Well, it's that time again folks- the time I get a bee (named Raoul) in my bonnet and blog!

Our son is AMAZING! I mean, I'm sure everyone already knows that from the pictures and videos we've posted, but really, he is. Zak JUST turned 4 months old, and from what I've heard and read, he's already starting to hit 6 month milestones. w00t- go Zak!Read more »

Zak's new skills...

Here I sit, with my son gnawing and slobbering on my wrist as I bounce him on my knee, pondering all the new things he's learned in the past couple weeks. It's really amazing how much Zak is doing these days. He's gone from just watching (and being watched) captivated at what's going on, to doing things that influence his surroundings (in ways not related to gobbing).Read more »

A visit to the clinic

Today we finally got around to taking Zak to the clinic for his vaccinations. Apparently they usually start at 6 weeks, and I thought he'd be getting some at his 6 week doctor's appointment, but the doctor doesn't give vaccinations so we ended up with a clinic appointment for 10 weeks instead.Read more »

Mommy Training

As parents, we're supposed to teach and train our children, but I think at this stage he's the one doing the training! I know as the weeks, months, and years go by, I'll learn a lot from Zak and whatever children come after him, but right now I'm mastering the basics.

Mommy 101: How to keep baby happy

First off, every baby will have some moments of unhappiness, even if they're an awesomely happy and content baby like Zak.
